00:00:17 --> 00:00:22 C e a has given me a community that's allowed me to be myself in a way that I 00:00:22 --> 00:00:26 didn't know I was allowed to be and find new parts of myself that were already 00:00:26 --> 00:00:29 in me, but I just wasn't able to find yet. 00:00:34 --> 00:00:36 The gift from community empowerment activists, uh, 00:00:36 --> 00:00:41 I think is encapsulated by the word lacoss in Tagalog, uh, which means strength. 00:00:41 --> 00:00:44 It's strengthened me as a person, an individual, uh, 00:00:44 --> 00:00:47 to be an advocate for both myself, my culture, but also my community. 00:00:50 --> 00:00:50 Community. 00:00:50 --> 00:00:54 Empowered activism has really helped no more tears enhance the work we do for 00:00:54 --> 00:00:56 reentry services for men who are coming out of prison, 00:00:57 --> 00:01:00 and also just helped us to connect with the students and help them to grow in 00:01:00 --> 00:01:01 their own way. 00:01:04 --> 00:01:09 Community empowerment activists has really given me an a chance to reconnect 00:01:09 --> 00:01:11 with the U S F community. I am a U SS F alum, 00:01:11 --> 00:01:16 so it's been wonderful to just have a chance to connect with current students 00:01:16 --> 00:01:20 and really reconnect with the university That gave me such a great experience. 00:01:32 --> 00:01:36 The revolution is love is our foundation, and it's not just words for us. 00:01:36 --> 00:01:38 That's how we breathe. That's how we exist, 00:01:38 --> 00:01:41 that's how we resist and rest and thrive and build community. 00:01:41 --> 00:01:42 And so it's just been an honor. 00:01:47 --> 00:01:50 Yes, keep the revolution going, spread the love. Everybody. 00:01:51 --> 00:01:53 Thank you so much for being here.
