We're in a beautiful place, San Francisco. It's incredibly diverse, it's very sophisticated, there's so much going on in terms of all sorts of different kinds of work, but it's also a friendly city. I think you know that's very different from other schools. I love that because we're all in it together, it has a very family feel. We don't just study law in the abstract. We're also seeking kind of learning, thinking about the meaning of law in society that feeds not only the mind but also the soul. I had heard a lot about how USF's, not only their faculty members but their alumni have really helped their students post-grad. I knew that USF would give me the tools to get that job which it already did my first year, I already have a job. San Francisco offers so many opportunities to blend the excellent teaching and classroom component that we offer here at the law school with externships. There's a huge number of companies here. A lot of our students are working in high-tech companies. Students can work in the courts here, the Ninth Circuit is here. A lot of what we do as lawyers is not just argue or fight or have lawsuits. We're also working with clients even with our adversaries. We're often trying to solve problems not just win in front of the judge. The nice thing about being a Jesuit law school is it allows us to focus on social justice and being ethical professionals. It's important to not only be a good lawyer but to be a good person.
