In the beginning of the semester I think I was most excited about my Erasmus class. Not only for the opportunity to go to Northern Ireland but also for the chance to discuss conflict resolutions. Now at first I thought conflict in this sense meant physical conflict between one group of people or another or one person or another. However over the past couple of weeks I've come to learn that there's another maybe more important form of conflict. And that's internal conflict. To me internal conflict is when you constantly ask yourself whether or not you did the right thing if you said the right thing if you thought the right thing. Sort of our conscience. And we read about this in Freud and I guess I never really thought about it until now. But now I truly believe that internal conflict is good because it forces us to keep ourselves in check. I don't know if that's what Freud intended when he discussed his idea of a conscience but that's how I took it. Now that's why I love this class
