The goal of the Department of Public Safety is to provide a safe learning environment by working collaboratively with our campus community. This is accomplished by providing continuous campus patrol, campus shuttles, safety escorts, crime prevention programs, and parking services. Our department maintains a 24-hour communication center and uniformed public safety officers to respond to all reports of accidents, crimes, suspicious persons, hazards, and other emergencies.

New Hilltop-Downtown Shuttle Pilot Program

We are pleased to announce the launch of a pilot campus shuttle program for all USF faculty and staff looking for transportation to and from the Hilltop campus and downtown San Francisco. The shuttle service will officially launch routes on Monday, February 23, and offer free morning and afternoon service Monday through Friday.  For more information on the shuttle schedule, route, and reserving a seat, please visit the Hilltop-Downtown Shuttle page.

2014 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), the Higher Education Opoortunity Act (HEOA), and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA), we are pleased to present the University of San Francisco's Annual Security and Fire Safety Report covering the years 2011, 2012, and 2013. As in past years, crime statistics confirm a low campus crime rate, particularly the low incidence of violent crime.  This report is in PDF format. If you would like a printed copy, contact us and we will gladly provide you with a copy.
