Technology: Software Purchases

Softmart is the University's vendor of choice for most software requests and applications. All software must be purchased on a University Purchase Order.

Purchasing Software on a Requisition

  1. To find pricing for Adobe, FileMaker pr Microsoft software, please visit the USF Softmart website. For prices of other software, please contact Eric Hadler at (610) 518-4162 or
  2. To make a software purchase with Softmart, please submit an approved requisition to Purchasing Services with a detailed description (item description, item/catalog number, suggested price and vendor, etc.) of the order.
  3. Since many licenses are transmitted electronically via email, please be sure to include the email address of the license recipient in the "Special Instructions from Department" section of the requisition. CD Media, Documentation & Maintenance

  1. Beside purchasing a license, you may wish to purchase a CD media set, documentation and/or a maintenance agreement (for upgrades during the period selected).   2. If you purchase a CD media set and install the software yourself, you must be able to prove that your department owns as many copies of software as it has installed.

Software Installation

  1. Please contact the Help Desk at if your would like ITS to install the software for you.
  2. You will need to have you license code available for installation when the ITS technician arrives.
