Welcome Dean Baker


Margaret Wooding Baker, Dean of the USF School of Nursing and Health ProfessionsMargaret Wooding Baker has been named the new dean of USF’s School of Nursing and Health Professions after a national search. Baker comes to USF from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she was the associate dean for academic affairs and an associate professor of biobehavioral nursing and health systems. Her research interests and community work have focused on elder abuse and mistreatment. She was formerly a senior health policy analyst for Washington state.

SONHP Receives Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Approval for Five Years


California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), School of Nursing and Health Professions, University of San FranciscoDuring fall 2015, the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) completed program reviews for the nurse practitioner program and the pre-licensure nursing program for the Hilltop and Sacramento campuses. This onsite review spanned five days, Nov.17–20 and Dec. 2.
