Support the School
The University of San Francisco, School of Nursing and Health Professions enjoys a position of preeminence due in large part to private financial support that is essential to remain a leader in education, research and community service.
Alumni are among the most loyal of supporters, and non-alumni, corporations and foundations are also important funding sources.
The School of Nursing and Health Professions has a unique opportunity to make important contributions to the nursing profession and to our society as a growing nursing shortage impacts the lives of individuals and communities. People in our country are already feeling the negative affects of a nursing shortage on health services across the spectrum of care, and some predict the shortage could last up to 20 years.
For the University of San Francisco, School of Nursing and Health Professions to remain strong, it is essential to increase student scholarships and grants as well as funding for endowed chairs, faculty positions and research. Increased support will enable the School to develop new models for care and discovery, and to provide needed financial assistance to compete for the best and brightest students and faculty.
Financial support is used for a variety of critical needs such as scholarships and student aid, curriculum enhancements, community service learning opportunities, and student leadership training, as well as for important research that contributes to developing new models for nursing care delivery. Donations that can be directed to an area of greatest urgency are especially important as the School meets the needs of nurses and communities in an ever-changing health care environment.
Gifts to the School are tax deductible, per the current and applicable tax laws. Donors receive recognition from both the School and the University of San Francisco.
