Get acquainted with your faculty and your new classmates through a variety of events. Orientation is the opportunity to develop connections that will shape your time at USF and last a lifetime.
New Student Orientation for the MSN Non-Nurse Program (CNL18) will take place on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm in Cowell Hall rm 212.
Your academic advisor is to be determined. You will have the opportunity to meet your advisor and ask questions regarding our academic program at orientation.
Students are required to meet with their advisor once per semester prior to the registration period in order to discuss their progress and have their advising holds cleared. Most advisors will hold group advising sessions, but students can also arrange individual advising sessions with their advisor for one-on-one assistance.
Request a copy of your previous schools' transcripts showing final grades (for any prerequisite courses that may be in progress) to be sent to: Graduate Admissions
University of San Francisco
2130 Fulton Street
San Francisco, CA 94117
We would like to have your final transcript before classes start, but let us know if you will not have final grades by the first day of classes.
Please use the following assessment tool to self-assess your skills in the areas of writing, research, technology and math. Print your answers before submitting the final results, and bring your answers to orientation. We will discuss remediation options at that time so that each person can plan ahead. Some of the skills listed in the assessment will be covered during the program, so this exercise is more focused on identifying weaknesses than about beginning remediation at this time.
