Kevin Lo, Associate Professor in the Department of Organization, Leadership and Communication, is a graduate of the USF joint Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies (MAPS) program. His scholarly work and teaching focus on cross-cultural management and intercultural communication.
Professor Lo has lived and worked in Beijing, Taipei, and Auckland and draws upon these international experiences with cross-cultural communication, interpersonal networks and differing perceptions of time across cultures. Professor Lo encourages his students to recognize a wide range of management and organizational issues they are likely to face.
Since returning to the University of San Francisco, Professor Lo has immersed himself in service-learning pedagogy. He values the organizational context and practical experience that service-learning provides to assist students in understanding theoretical frameworks introduced in class.
Professor Lo hopes his students will learn from and interact with real-world businesses in San Francisco’s vibrant business community to develop their business acumen. He believes this engagement with flourishing enterprises will serve as keen assets for students working toward careers in business.
