2018 Adjunct Appreciation Reception
On October 18, 2018, the Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions, Margaret Baker, was honored to recognize two School’s Part Time Faculty
At the ceremony Dean Baker recognized Adjunct Faculty Kathy Grimley-Baker, highlighting Kathy’s professional experience, amazing teaching journey of 25 years, and impact on her students over the years. Dean Baker also highlighted Kathy’s volunteer work at Samaritan House free clinic in San Mateo.
When asked about her teaching experience at USF, Kathy said:
My passion and interest in working with the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN students will always have a special place in my heart. I am committed and excited to continue my academic career here at USF. I love what I do. I feel my career path reflects the Jesuit values and I know I have a positive influence in health care within my community, classroom, and at the bedside. I am a committed lifelong learner and strive to be one of many stellar faculty at USF.
During the ceremony, Dean Baker also recognized Thea Hadwick, BSN Adjunct Faculty. Her teaching philosophy:
My students’ dedication and enthusiasm for learning inspires me to continuously strive to give my best. In congruence with the Jesuit tradition, my goal is to help prepare students to become competent, caring, compassionate nursing professionals who provide safe patient care with integrity and who advocate for the justice, health, and well-being for all of those they serve.
