Program Outcomes

The MS in Behavioral Health program is designed for people

  • Interested in human behavior, especially the intersection between mental and physical health
  • Wanting to start a career in behavioral healthcare
  • Currently working in the healthcare system and wanting additional skills in interdisciplinary team leadership, program evaluation, and project management
  • Wanting a foundation for other careers such as medicine or dentistry

Our MSBH students learn to:

  • Identify barriers to health care access and propose solutions
  • Assess and address the psychological and sociocultural factors that affect health behaviors
  • Plan and evaluate health care and community services
  • Design and manage program improvement efforts
  • Work collaboratively with other health and mental health professionals in diverse settings and communities
  • Provide effective health education services designed to promote patient empowerment and well-being
