Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Positioned in the heart of San Francisco with direct proximity to dynamic Silicon Valley, USF is the ideal place to study entrepreneurship. Ranked in the top 25 of the Nation’s Most Entrepreneurial Campuses by Forbes, our program prepares you to design, launch and grow new business ventures. Aligned with our institutional commitment to develop responsible global stewards, the entrepreneurship curriculum places special emphasis on high-growth and socially oriented ventures.

Entrepreneurship Curriculum (20 units) 

As entrepreneurship majors, you have 4 required courses (16 units) and you choose 1 elective from a variety of business areas. All business majors have a senior capstone course - Entrepreneurship majors must choose Entrepreneurship & Business Plan Development.

Required courses include Nuts and Bolts of Entrepreneuring, Creativity, Innovation, and Product Development, Internet Business Applications, and Entrepreneurial Finance.

The curriculum culminates in developing a comprehensive business plan and participating in our annual business plan competition.
