The BSBA in Marketing program will give you the skills and experience necessary to succeed through a combination of in-class and extracurricular activities.
Our classes include traditional and non-traditional course work, increasingly using technology-assisted learning tools. In addition to course work, you will have the opportunity to participate in consulting projects with local firms like Cisco, Fitbit, and Oracle. You will meet prominent executives at our on-campus speaking events and have the opportunity to join our tours of high-interest firms around the Bay Area.
The BSBA in Marketing program requires completion of five courses in addition to the requirements for the university core curriculum and the requirements for all SOM graduates.
The five courses include three required courses and two electives, selected from a list of ten. Normally, eight electives are offered each year. Faculty try to balance quantitative offerings (for example, pricing, marketing analytics) versus more qualitative/concept or action-oriented courses (for example, brand strategy, integrated marketing communications, marketing for social change) every semester.
