CFA Institute Affiliate University

USF MS in Financial Analysis Degree Programs

The USF MS in Financial Analysis programs have earned the CFA® highly-regarded status as an official CFA Institute Affiliated University. A longtime Academic Program Partner to CFA, this most recent status reflects the MSFA program's continuation of academic excellence.

The Chartered Financial Analyst or CFA designation represents an internationally recognized standard of excellence in investment management. As the administrator of the CFA exams and grantor of the CFA designation, the CFA Institute requires candidates to pass three exams to receive their CFA designation. For financial and investment professionals, holding the prestigious CFA credential is highly valuable, as it distinguishes you as a trained expert.

The CFA Designation Advantage

Programs Geared to Practitioner Needs

As a CFA Institute University Affiliate, the USF MS Financial Analysis program provides a coordinated, sequential approach to the tools and knowledge covered by the annual CFA exams by including 70% or more of the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge into the USF curriculum

The majority of our MS in Financial Analysis instructors also hold CFA charters.

Preparation for the CFA EXAMS

As an Affiliated University, USF may offer CFA exam scholarships to its students. Students also have access to the Financial Analysts Journal®, CFA Magazine, and sample exams in preparation to take the official CFA exams.

Finance Certificate Programs

In addition to the master's degree program in Financial Analysis, USF School of management offers two finance certificates that may help prepare for the CFA Level I or Level III exam.

The Foundations of Finance and the Investment Management certificates follow a practitioner-oriented curriculum consistent with the Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA ® body of knowledge.

Courses in the certificates can be used for academic credit towards the MS in Financial Analysis program. For more information, please contact admissions at or (415) 422-2221
