Kelci Baughman McDowell

Reference Library Assistant

kelci baughman mcdowellWhat I Do:
I help people do research and evaluate information; I champion Gleeson Library to the USF community; I support my department in doing all these same things. One of the most rewarding things I do is supervise the department student workers.

I earned a MLIS from San Jose State University in 2016 and I hold two degrees from USF (BA in English, 2005; MFA in Writing, 2009). I have worked in Gleeson Library on and off in the Reference and Research Services Department since 2001. I have traveled extensively in Western Europe and I crossed the Atlantic by freighter ship in 2012. I am always dreaming of my next adventure, whether that be an escapade in librarianship or hitting the open road.

My interests include poetry, book arts, information theory, and human rights, especially labor rights.
