I joined USF’s Gleeson Library | Geschke Center as a Librarian in 1998 after 5 years as Archivist for Buddhist Churches of America. While attending SFSU and UC Berkeley, I worked as a Library Assistant in the Periodicals Department at Gleeson Library from 1987-1993.
As Archivist, I work in the University Archives appraising, arranging and describing collection materials of historical significance pertaining to the University of San Francisco. I liaison with various university departments from the Office of the President to Academic Affairs, Development & Alumni Relations, Office of Marketing Communications and Athletics.
My work also includes collaboration with the library's Digital Collections team to identify and advocate for the digitization of historical collection materials in order to remove barriers implied by the physical storage of print items in the Archives.
I also provide access to USF’s archival collections for the university’s students, faculty, staff and alumni as well as independent researchers.
The University Archives is open Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can be made for more in-depth research consultations.
