Alumni Toast the Holidays Together
Alumni joined faculty and staff to reconnect and celebrate the holiday season together at the USF School of Law Alumni Holiday Mixer at the City Club of San Francisco Dec. 12.
Dean John Trasviña welcomed alumni and shared the importance of coming together.
“You help us with our work preparing students to be effective lawyers and to serve our communities,” he said. “That work is made easier with your support and your involvement and the good models of leadership you provide. We go together into 2018 as a united school that will continue to do what we’ve been doing since 1912 — producing lawyers for San Francisco and beyond to serve our communities and serve justice.”
USF President Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J. recognized the role USF alumni play in advancing justice.
“We have tremendous alumni both in this room and across the state and around the world who are doing justice,” Fr. Fitzgerald said. “All of you in your professional activities do us so proud because you, as representatives of a USF education, are the best advertisement that money can buy with your integrity creativity, competence, professionalism, and humanity.”
The law school would like to thank the alumni co-chairs Molly Lane ’90, 2015 Alum of the Year and president of the Board of Counselors, and Chris Viadro ’92, president of the Board of Governors; Richard Stratton of Hanson Bridgett for serving as club host; and the event’s platinum sponsor, Stacy Miller Azcarate ’96, founder and owner of Miller Sabino & Lee, Inc.
