Adjunct Professor D. Peter Harvey is a partner with Harvey Siskind LLP and past counsel of the International Trademark Association. He has practiced law in San Francisco since 1972, focusing on trademark, copyright, and unfair competition litigation in U.S. Federal Courts. Among his clients are companies in the wine and spirits, entertainment, computer, and communications industries, including high-tech businesses headquartered in Northern California. His recent papers and presentations include “Geographical Indications: The United States Perspective,” presented to the International Trademark Association’s conference entitled “When Trademarks Overlap with Other IP Rights” in December 2014, held in Munich, Germany, and panel discussions with Annette Hurst and Kathryn Fritz on “Issues in Trademark Case Management,” for Intellectual Property in the New Technological Age – A Conference for Federal Judges Sponsored by the Federal Judicial Center and the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology, held in Berkeley, California in May 2011-2014. Professor Harvey teaches Entertainment and Media Law.
