Biography

James R. (Jim) Madison serves as an arbitrator, mediator, referee, and dispute review board member and as an expert in arbitrator ethics. In addition to construction, he specializes in employment, technology, and other business disputes. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association Large Complex Case Panel for construction, commercial, and employment cases, as well as the AAA International and Mediation Panels. He is a fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, a panelist on the Tech List of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center, a former president of the California Dispute Resolution Council, and a former chair of the California State Bar ADR Committee. In addition to teaching arbitration as an adjunct professor at USF, he is an instructor in the trial advocacy programs at USF and Stanford University Law School.
