Biography
Christiana State has advised multi-national corporations and emerging companies for over 18 years in the areas of intellectual property, technology transactions, privacy, product counseling and global litigation management. She holds electrical engineering (cum laude) and law degrees from Santa Clara University. Ms. State is a certified CIPP privacy professional (US and EU), a trained mediator and registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. State is a frequent speaker at various conferences, and co-authored various chapters of Licensing Update (Wolters Kluwer) on patent-related topics. She has volunteered for the Small Claims Court of the Superior Court of California for over 8 years. When not practicing law, Ms. State also volunteers for the United Nations Association Film Festival, a Bay Area documentary film festival, and enjoys adventure travels and gardening.
