A Different Kind of Legal Education

USF offers a very different kind of law school experience, with flexible programs for both full- and part-time students. Excellence and intellectual challenge are priorities. We are global in our perspective. And we are passionate about the law as a tool for social justice — a value we endeavor to share with all our graduates, whether they go on to work in the private sector or in public service.

Although many law schools offer challenging curricula, USF aspires to an even higher standard — one that is grounded in academics, ethics, and real-world legal experience. That means, within and outside the classroom, you will explore the law as a complex global enterprise. You will leave USF uniquely practice-ready, equipped with a strong conceptual understanding of law and intense professional skills training. No wonder employers consistently say USF law graduates are well prepared to practice law.

A Different Kind of Community

USF students bring diverse backgrounds and ambitions to campus, and include 40 percent students of color. They are exceptionally collegial in their approach to learning — open and collaborative, even as they challenge one another with differing points of view. Faculty are mentors to students and advocates for the new lawyers whose careers they help launch. And, like today’s students and the alumni who went before them, they are passionate about making a USF legal education the first step toward a successful career that makes a positive difference in the world.
