Academic Excellence
Our program provides the building blocks of the broad and vibrant field of work law and the hands-on experience necessary to be immediately effective.
At the USF Work Law and Justice Program, we come from the perspective that work—whether as employers, employees, independent contractors, or self-employed entrepreneurs—fundamentally affects all of our lives.
— Professors and Co-Directors TRISTIN GREEN, MARIA ONTIVEROS, AND MICHELLE TRAVIS
There has never been a better time to train for a future as a work law practitioner. Our graduates practice in a multitude of settings, from in-house counsel at Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits to governments and judicial appointments, boutique firms, and solo offices. Wage and hour disputes, employment discrimination, labor negotiations, and contracts drafting are just some of the areas in which our students and alumni specialize.
The Work Law and Justice Program at USF embeds deep thinking across robust curricular offerings, out-of-class events, and hands-on learning opportunities. Together, we build a rich community of future and present practitioners in the field of work law.
