Document Management

The ITS Document Management service provides access to a repository storing documents saved in any commonly used format, such as PDF, TIF, JPEG, DOC, etc. Documents are indexed for searchability. Hard copy documents may also be scanned and stored in the repository. Documents may be linked to Banner records or stored independently of Banner.

Document Management is currently used by the Office of Admission, Student Records, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and other departments. The service is based on Banner's Xtender document management capability, but it does not have to be used with Banner.

Document Management allows users to:

  • Reduce the need for paper and space for document storage
  • Query for specific images or documents within a Banner form
  • Annotation images
