Password Reset Policy

myUSF accounts provide secure access to a broad range of resources. Therefore, in order to protect users, processes for resetting your password are restrictive. We do this to protect your privacy.

If you need assistance with your password or access to your myUSF account, please contact the Help Desk.


  1. Go to the myUSF login page (
  2. Click Set New/Forgot Password in the gray login box
  3. Follow the instruction from within this tool

Faculty / Staff

Faculty or staff may come to the ITS Help Desk during regular service hours, with a picture ID, to have their USF Password/PIN reset. If you are not able to visit the Help Desk, you may also call 415-422-6668 and verify your identity over the phone.

Due to the private nature of content accessible within myUSF, any exceptions to this policy must be requested from the Director of Client Support Services, Nikki Williams ( or 415-422-2231).
