Leadership Opportunities in SHaRE
Resident Advisors (RA)
Resident Advisors fill a vital leadership role in each residence hall at USF. Resident Advisors connect with peers, listen to issues, help find resources and solutions, and build a strong community in each residence hall. Students who become resident advisors will have the opportunity to build strong connections with peers, organize activities and events, and provide hands-on support to help new students find their home at USF.
Community Assistants (CA)
Community Assistants, formerly Front Desk Clerks are very often the first face that students see when they enter the residence hall. The CA is a vital leadership position that balances the need for providing outstanding customer service while maintaining building security. Students in this role will have the opportunity to meet and greet other residents, parents, and visitors; provide information, give directions, and answer questions; and contribute to residents' peace of mind by maintaining a safe and secure living facility.
Community Office Managers (COM)
Community Office Managers, formerly Front Desk Managers coordinate the team of Community Assistants. The COM position is an essential leadership role that is responsible for the hiring, training, and scheduling of CAs. Students in this role will be able to develop and strengthen their management skills, cultivate communication skills, including communication in group settings; and learn to coordinate schedules and administer resources.
Residence Hall Association & RESIDENCE HALL COUNCILS
The Residence Hall Association consists of four executive board positions and five director positions. Within the Residence Hall Association, there are several Residence Hall Councils. All council positions will be filled in the fall election. Each residence hall has seven RHC positions. More information in Student Elections.
