Kevin D. Lo

Kevin D. Lo

Assistant Professor

Kevin Lo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Organization, Leadership and Communication, is a graduate of USF’s joint MBA - Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Studies (MAPS) program. His scholarly work and teaching focus on service-learning, cross-cultural management, and intercultural communication.

Since returning to the University of San Francisco, Professor Lo has immersed himself in service-learning pedagogy. He values the organizational context and practical experience that service-learning provides to assist students in understanding theoretical frameworks introduced in class. In addition, Professor Lo has lived and worked in Taipei, Beijing, and Auckland and draws upon these international experiences with cross-cultural communication, interpersonal networks and differing perceptions of time across cultures. In both service-learning and cross-cultural management, Professor Lo encourages his students to recognize a wide range of management and organizational issues they are likely to face.

Professor Lo hopes his students will learn from and interact with real-world businesses in San Francisco’s vibrant business community to develop their business acumen. He believes this engagement with flourishing enterprises will serve as keen assets for students working toward careers in business.
