Daniel Blakley


Professor Daniel Blakley is a Fulbright Scholar in Global Economics with a Ph.D., MBA and MA from Duke University. As a teacher of managerial economics, corporate finance, and global macroeconomic analysis, Dr. Blakley has received awards and recognition for his teaching since his arrival at USF in 1981.

Professor Blakley's research centers on an analysis of price disinflation in Asia; he and fellow Professor Peggy Takahashi presented their paper "Foreign Produced Content and Japanese Price Disinflation: An Empirical Study", at a recent Global Business and International Management Conference in Portland, Oregon.

Professor Blakley is an active member of the University of San Francisco's community, participating in councils, committees and boards such as the McLaren Faculty Executive Council, the Dean's Faculty Advisory Council, the Academic Standards Committee, the University Athletic Advisory Board, the University Curriculum Committee, the University Tuition and Fee Review Committee, and the University Board of Trustees Finance Committee. He is also the chair of the Graduate Curriculum Committee.

Dr. Blakley has been a visiting professor at the City University of London and Norwegian School of Management.
