Professor Richard Král is a senior lecturer in European law at Charles University Faculty of Law, Prague, Czech Republic. He was a visiting international professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law for the fall 2005, 2009, and 2013 semesters, and has long been the local director of USF summer activities in Prague. Prof. Král specializes in European Union Legal system and Institutions, and is a recognized expert on the transposition of EU directives into national laws of EU member states. He is author of more than 80 books, textbooks, and articles on the European Union law issues. His articles have also been published in European Law Review and European Public Law. He is a member of the Czech Bar and the Legislative Council of the Czech Government.
