Kimberly Stoddard started her public relations career in 1995, and her communications experience spans PR, internal communications, analyst relations, investor relations, and social campaigns for Fortune 500 and Global 1000 brands, as well as startups. In addition to teaching the Public Relations Writing course at USF, she currently handles West Coast communications at Bloomberg LP and communication strategies at The Townsend Team. Other in-house roles include communications manager at U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
Kimberly has also worked at several Bay Area PR agencies, including BOCA Communications, Eastwick Communications (now Hotwire), and SHIFT Communications. As a VP in Hill+Knowlton Strategies' technology practice, she represented Adobe's Marketing Cloud, Qualcomm, SanDisk, and TATA Communications. She also volunteers with PRSA—Silicon Valley as the director at large, with the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Center as the marketing communications committee chair, and with the Commonwealth Club of California's INFORUM division as a board member emerita and media ambassador.
