
Kevin Hickey
Adjunct Professor
Biography
Kevin Hickey's career is built on helping youth and families achieve self-sufficiency. Kevin approaches his work with the belief that today’s problems require leaders to drive for impact in both direct service provision and public policy. Working with nonprofit service agencies and public policy advocacy groups, he currently serves as director of high school and bridge programs at Jewish Vocational Service and on the Board of Directors of the National Youth Employment Coalition, among other leadership and university instructor roles.
Professor Hickey approaches his classroom instruction as teacher, facilitator, and coach. He strives to foster passion and skill in public policy advocacy with real-world application. Bridging his career in workforce development with his university teaching role, Kevin provides students with support in job searches and career planning in order to propel their success towards fashioning a more humane and just world. He is a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
