Dr. Allyson Mayo is a Doctor of Behavioral Health and a professor at University of San Francisco’s (USF) School of Nursing and Health Professions. She has over 30 years of professional experience developing new business strategies in cross sectional industries, including the Fortune 100 business sector, homeless services, addiction treatment, inpatient psychiatric services, integrated healthcare quality and process improvement. Dr. Mayo serves as Chair of the Board for USF School of Nursing and Health Professions and teaches Team Leadership and Interprofessional Collaboration. She has dedicated herself to working as a Social Entrepreneur driven to stop childhood trauma by using improvement science, strategic partnerships, and excellence in the behavioral sciences to improve the American employee experience. She specializes in Addiction Medicine, Healthcare Systems, social/personal determinants of health, and behavioral economics. She continues to be recognized nationally for her innovations in the areas of mental and behavioral health in our country. Dr. Allyson Mayo is most currently working diligently on her organization; Behavioral Fitness, an organization aimed at bringing best in class strategies from the behavioral sciences into the American workplace.
