Performing Arts & Social Justice Presents: In the Blood

27October
8:00PM - 10:00PM
Lone Mountain Main 148 - Studio Theatre

Follow Hester La Negrita, (a character based on Nathaniel Hawthorne's protagonist, Hester Prynne) as she navigates the intricacies of desire and the pervasiveness of human hypocrisy. Written by playwright Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by SF Hip Hop artist Paul S. Flores, and choreographed by Robert Moses, In the Blood offers both a critical portrayal of the treadmill of poverty and a powerful tale about institutionalized racism.
