Melanated Mental Matters

Melanated Mental Matters is a monthly drop-in space where students come to have open and real talk about diverse topics affecting Black mental health and wellness. Melanated Mental Matters and Sister Connection are coming together to celebrate the profound contributions of Black women to society by centering a conversation on invisible labor. This event provides an opportunity to explore the mental health impacts of tropes such as "the strong Black woman," learn practical self-care strategies, and identify paths to empowerment through individual and collective resilience. Led by CAPS Psychotherapist, Dr. Jevon Rice, and Advanced Practicum Psychotherapist, Briahna Jackson in collaboration Sister Connection Leaders. Melanated Mental Matters is not group therapy, and you DO NOT have to be a CAPS client to join.
