Ken Tran is a health data scientist with experience enabling health care organizations to drive decisions using data. He recently completed his PhD in Public Health from University of Waterloo (Canada). His research interests are in applying data science tools to improve health care services.
In the health care system, there is often a long delay between knowledge discovery and integration of new knowledge in daily clinical practice. This talk will use the "learning health system" framework and examples from Ken's own research to highlight how data science can accelerate the translation from raw data into tangible improvements for our health care system.
