Why USF?

USF's weekend schedule made it much more manageable to pursue a graduate degree while teaching full-time. USF's focus on social equity was also a strong source of resonance and made me feel like what we learned in classrooms was applicable to my work.

What has been the highlight of your program thus far?

The best part of the program for me was the cohort structure as we went through the TSL program in a group which could continually support each other.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

The program is great and super rigorous, but professors are very open to communication and committed to supporting your studies as a working professional. If you enroll, make sure to set up a schedule to balance getting schoolwork and your professional work completed.

Why USF?

Because I am committed to social justice and USF has the faculty to support students in becoming leaders in equity.

What has been the highlight of your program thus far?

Making the decision to return to school after 15 years and then becoming a part of an amazing cohort that I have learned so much from and will always be connected to.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Please come to an informational session and meet the amazing faculty. Also research more than one program and make an informed decision.
