Graduate Housing

It’s hard to get around the fact that housing in San Francisco is expensive, and it can be difficult to find. But at USF, we have off-campus housing advisors, plus the Off-Campus Living Engagement office, which provides a number of resources to help you search for, and secure, a great place to live.

On-Campus Housing

As a graduate student, you have access to all available Student Housing and Residential Education resources. Although a majority of graduate students live off-campus, you may consider living on-campus in:

  • Pedro Arrupe Hall: Traditional residence hall setting roughly one mile from campus.
  • Loyola Village: Townhouse/apartment-style living on the edge of campus.

Off-Campus Housing

If you are planning to live off-campus, please give yourself sufficient time — two-to-three months — to secure housing. Student Housing and Residential Education offers off-campus housing counseling and hosts a free housing listing for you to search for rooms and apartments.

We have also put together a video to help you with your search, as well as an FileFAQ page and some Additional Resources
