International & Multicultural Education Master's Program

Melissa Canlas

Melissa Canlas (with Dr. Monisha Bajaj and Amy Argenal) started a weekly human rights club for refugee and immigrant high school students in the bay area. They've since co-authored journal articles and presented on their research nationally and internationally.

Based on principles of equity, social justice, and human rights, the program critically addresses the realities of education within and beyond the borders of public schooling in the United States and around the world.
