Greek Council

greek_council_logo_2014Greek Council is the governing body that oversees social fraternities and sororities at USF and serves as an advisory board for the programming and standards of these organizations.

Through various committees and programming, Greek Council brings together individuals from each chapter to share their ideas, create new initiatives, and build stronger bonds between the chapters.

Welcome Message from the President

Going Greek has been one of the most life changing and defining decisions I have made in my time here at the University of San Francisco. What we as a community pride ourselves are those characteristics that distinguish us from the stereotypical perception of “Greek Life.” We are men and women for others who are committed to pursuing the highest standard of academic excellence. We lay the foundation and foster leaders of character and intellect. We are a family of scholars, athletes, philanthropists, role models, leaders, brothers and sisters – we are Greeks committed to redefining what it means to be a fraternity man and sorority woman.

As a community we have made it a promise to build a legacy of leaders amongst our family that will extend beyond our four years. Through our actions we are paving the path that will impact future Greeks giving them the opportunity to thrive. We have adopted a non-hazing and alcohol-free recruitment and new member education program for all of our organizations. We live the values and morals of our chapters, while socially advancing our members.

Going Greek has been my catalyst in becoming the man I always wished to become and the commencement of my leadership journey - I cannot wait to share my experiences with you all. Most of all, I cannot wait to welcome you into the family!
