Recruitment Activities

Career Fairs

Every year, we host two large signature events in the fall and spring which allow you to connect with hundreds of students across all majors and class levels.

Career Premiere takes place in mid-September and JOB FEST Career & Internship Festival takes place end of February. All employers registered in Handshake will be sent information for both fairs once registration opens. Career Fairs will be held exclusively online via Handshake's virtual career fair platform (until covid-19 health and safety restrictions are lifted). This will be a great way to meet targeted and qualified students, and build your recruiting with students for internships and full-time jobs. Registration is only open to employers hiring for internships and full-time jobs. Sorry, no part-time employers or staffing agencies can participate.

Fall 2021 Career Premiere

  • September 21: Service Careers
  • September 23: Business Careers

JOB FEST 2022

  • March 1: Service Careers
  • March 3: Business Careers

Contact Julia Hing at jahing@usfca.edu or Stephanie Belfiore at sibelfiore@usfca.edu for more information.

Career Weeks

Each semester, we will feature several Career Weeks focused on specific industries. Each week will include a career workshop to help students prepare for jobs and internships, an alumni panel with USF alumni who work in the industry, and a networking/recruiting event on Zoom called a Pop-in (or a Pop-Up when in-person events resume).

Fall 2021 Career Weeks

  • October 4–8: Finance & Analytics
  • October 25–29: Marketing & Communications
  • November 8–12: Healthcare

If you are interested in participating in such an event, please contact Julia Hing at jahing@usfca.edu or Stephanie Belfiore at sibelfiore@usfca.edu for more information.

Information Sessions

Set up a virtual info session to tell students about your company and open positions, and to network and answer questions. Use your own virtual meeting platform link (e.g. Zoom, Google Hangout, WebEx, etc), and create the session as an Event in Handshake to promote to students. Log in through your Handshake account. If you don’t have a virtual meeting platform, USF Career Services can help you host a session on our Zoom account. Students are likely to attend on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 11:45 am-1:30 pm or after 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday.

Contact Julia Hing at jahing@usfca.edu or Stephanie Belfiore at sibelfiore@usfca.edu.

Employer of the Day

Employer of the Day allows students to have a one-on-one advice session with a real-world recruiter. They can practice their interview skills, get their resumes critiqued, learn how to research a company or an industry, or ask anything about their job/internship search in an informal setting. We will host two separate employer sessions for each Employer of the Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on several different weeks throughout each semester. Our themed Career Weeks may coincide with some of the Employer of the Days.

Fall 2021 Employer of the Days

  • September 15
  • October 6
  • October 27
  • November 10

Customized Recruitment Events

Online Campus Interviews

For Fall 2021, USF Career Services will not host in-person campus interviews, but will host Online Campus Interviews instead. Employers are invited to post their virtual interview schedules through Handshake.

Contact Julia Hing at jahing@usfca.edu or Stephanie Belfiore at sibelfiore@usfca.edu if you have questions on how to do this.

Partner with Student Organizations

Meet USF’s student leaders by partnering with student clubs recruitment activities and speaking engagements. Contact Julia Hing at jahing@usfca.edu or Stephanie Belfiore at sibelfiore@usfca.edu to discuss different ways you can reach these targeted audiences.

If you have questions about any of the events above, feel free to reach out to Julia Hing at jahing@usfca.edu or Stephanie Belfiore at sibelfiore@usfca.edu, the USF Career Center Employer Relations Team. Thanks for recruiting at USF!

We’ve had quite a few successes with interns from USF. They are prepared, well adjusted friendly students who have experience at some of the top companies in the Bay Area.
