Career Fairs

Every year, we host two large signature events in the fall and spring which allow you to connect with hundreds of students across all majors and class levels. The Fall Career Premiere will take place on September 17, 2019. The JOB FEST Career & Internship Festival will take place on February 28, 2020. Register online through Handshake.

* Registration fee covers: two representatives, a table and sign, two chairs, wifi, breakfast, and lunch.

This spring, we’re hosting three smaller recruiting/networking fairs called “career pop-ups” focused on the following industry sectors:

  • March 19, 2020 - Arts/Entertainment/Sports
  • March 26, 2020 - Diversity (Companies with Employee Resource Groups)
  • April 2, 2020 - Start-ups (Tech & Biotech)

Information Tables & Sessions

Employers are invited to host a recruitment table or session during peak hours of student activity in our University Center. To schedule a date and reserve space, please log in through your Handshake account. Once you submit your request, we will arrange for the Information Table location, then we will approve your request. We experience the most student traffic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. for an Information Table. For an Information Session, you can set it up either 12-1 p.m. or after 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Meet & Eat is a student information luncheon allowing employers to give presentations about their company and opportunities in a casual setting. We'll provide the room and the employer will pay for lunch through our catering service. Available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Contact Julia Hing at or 415-422-2027.

Company Treks and Open Houses

Every semester we plan multiple student treks which involve visiting up to three organizations in the Bay Area over the course of one day. The treks are focused on specific majors and change each year. This fall, we will lead treks focusing on the Technology, Sports, and Marketing/Communications industries. In the spring, we will lead treks focusing on Finance, Gaming, and Fashion. For more information, contact Miriam Karpilow at

Resumania and Employer of the Day

Each semester we host activities to assist students in preparation to meet with potential employers.

Resumania puts recruiters in front of students as they review resumes and give tips in quick 10-minute sessions. Resumania will take place on September 12, 13, and 16 in the fall and February 25, 26, and 27 in the spring. To participate, contact Ellen Kelly Daley at

Employer of the Day allow students to have one-on-one advice sessions with a real-world recruiter. They can practice their interview skills, get their resumes critiqued, learn how to research a company or an industry, or learn new networking techniques. Employer of the Day will take place on September 11, October 23, and November 6 in the fall and February 19, March 18, and April 8 in the spring. Contact Julia Hing at to participate.

Customized Recruitment Events

On-Campus Interviews

Each semester we host on-campus interviews to allow employers to recruit top candidates directly. This option offers the convenience of using our private interview rooms and flexibility for the students to stay on campus. We’re happy to assist with arranging:

  • Pre-select Schedule: allowing employers to preview resumes in advance and then select interview candidates. Please schedule interviews 6 weeks in advance.
  • Open Schedule: allowing students to sign-up for interview time slots, according to specified criteria, with no previewing option. Please schedule 4 weeks in advance.

The Fall 2019 schedule will run from September 23 to November 8, and the Spring 2020 schedule will run from February 10 to April 3. To reserve on-campus interview dates, log into your Handshake account.

Partner with Student Organizations

Meet USF’s student leaders by partnering with student clubs recruitment activities and speaking engagements. Contact a student club or Miriam Karpilow at in the Career Center to discuss different ways you can reach these targeted audiences.

If you have questions about any of the events above, feel free to reach out to Julia Hing at or Miriam Karpilow at, the USF Career Center Employer Relations Team. Thanks for recruiting at USF!

We’ve had quite a few successes with interns from USF. They are prepared, well adjusted friendly students who have experience at some of the top companies in the Bay Area.
