The French Studies programs at the University of San Francisco explores the literary and cultural heritage of the Francophone world, equipping students with the linguistic and cultural skills to pursue graduate school, careers, or volunteer work in a variety of countries. USF also sponsors international programs at ILCF in Paris, University of Lille Catholique in Lille and more. Together, these resources provide graduates with the communication skills and real-world experience necessary to be productive citizens of the world.
We offer a major and minor, as well as an Advanced Certificate in French Studies for students who would like to pursue their French studies beyond a minor but whose other commitments make it difficult for them to declare a second major.
