Undergraduate Programs

The Chinese Studies program offers three years of language courses and a Minor in Chinese Studies.

University of San Francisco classrooms extend into a city uniquely situated along the Pacific Rim, a total population that is 34% Asian and the largest Chinatown outside of Asia. Complete immersion in Chinese culture and traditions starts by simply stepping through our front door.

The city serves as a living laboratory, delivering an enormous and unrivaled array of academic, linguistic, and cultural experiences. A sequence of structured language courses helps students hear, speak, read and write Chinese while gaining a comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture and contemporary society. Graduates leave campus equipped with the knowledge, communication skills and real-world experience necessary for successful careers in one of the world’s most rapidly evolving economies.
