The Swig Program in Jewish Studies and Social Justice hosts annual summer language intensives in both Hebrew and Arabic. Offered each year in July, these programs provide participants with the opportunity to engage with in-depth language learning in an immersive environment. Each program is taught by highly experienced language instructors who tailor the class session to student needs and interests.

Arabic San Francisco

Arabic San Francisco is a three-week Arabic intensive for anyone interested in colloquial Arabic. The program focuses on the Levantine dialect of spoken Arabic, however students in Level 1 will spend the first part of the program learning to read and write in Arabic. Emphasis is placed on conversation and comprehension in small class settings with a lot of personal attention from experienced teachers. Scholarships are available to make the program more affordable to those in need.
