We hold the conviction that artists do not exist in a vacuum, but are active participants in the process that shapes our culture. As such, we design curricula that trains our students to create socially engaged performance that promotes positive change.
The Performing Arts and Social Justice (PASJ) program is offered in the form of three possible concentrations — dance, music, and theater — which are each designed both with a core community component and with space for critical reflection. Minors are offered in each concentration and are open to students from all USF majors. We also offer a Tech and Design certificate for students interested in design and production.
