Tuition costs for the first and second years may vary based on number of units completed in each year. Second-year tuition is the number of units multiplied by the new tuition rate for that year.

* All students admitted to Biology and Chemistry receive a full-tuition scholarship.

** Computer Science Bridge requires a third-year with 20 units. MFA in Writing requires a third-year class that is 6 units.

*** MS in Data Science tuition is based on 32 units in the first academic year and 3 units in the second academic year (second summer).

Fees and Other Expenses

Associated Graduate Students of USF (AGSUSF)

The $35 AGSUSF fee is applied each fall and spring semester for a total annual fee of $70. This fee funds activities and events of the Associated Graduate Students.

* Living expenses for Biology and Chemistry may be partially covered with funds provided by Teaching Assistantships.

 

Health Insurance

The USF health insurance policy is required for graduate students, unless if a student is covered by equivalent insurance coverage.

USF health insurance is charged for fall (Aug 1 - Dec 31) and spring (Jan 1 - Jul 31). It is not charged or required for students who start their program in the summer until the fall enrollment period begins August 1.

Student Accounts Office in Student Enrollment Services administers payment policies, billing, methods of payment, payment plans, and refunds.
