USF wins green MBA award

Eco-consciousness lands School of Management in top 25 for sustainability.

From supply chain management to packaging and marketing, USF students have embraced sustainable business practices in courses throughout the School of Management, and have even launched their own clubs and a nationally recognized networking organization. The school’s eco-conscious efforts recently landed the school in the top 25 business schools in the world for sustainability, according to clean capitalism proponent Corporate Knights media.

Ranked 22 worldwide

USF ranked 22 among 250 of the top-ranked business schools from British Columbia to Beijing, based on survey questions answered by the School of Management about the integration of sustainability into the curriculum, faculty support of green campaigns, and student-led environmental initiatives.

Joint degrees, 'Green Team,' student clubs

The Corporate Knights’ “Global Green MBA” report highlighted examples of the School of Management’s successes, including:

  • The joint Master of Science in Environmental Management and MBA program
  • The faculty-led Green Team, which works to improve the school’s eco-friendly operations, hosts Earth Day events, and implements recycling campaigns; and,
