Food trucks donated 10 percent of lunch purchases to USF student scholarships, as part of Generosity Week events Feb. 24-28.
USF is honoring donors
this week with a series of events to raise awareness about philanthropy on campus.
Look for bows on campus
buildings, statues, courtyards and plazas that highlight the gifts that made
them possible. And check out the “field of flags” near Gleeson Plaza that represents
donors by categories, including students, faculty, alumni, and staff. You can
also head over to USF’s social media channels, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Scoop.it,
to share how philanthropy at USF has helped you.
“We want people to walk
away from Generosity Week knowing more about philanthropy at USF and how it
impacts scholarships, new facilities, and more,” said Christopher
Anderson '06, MSOD'09, USF director of annual and special giving.
On Monday, food trucks
were on campus for lunch, with 10 percent of sales benefitting student scholarships. On Thursday, USF seniors will serve up free
coffee and tea along with more information about philanthropy from 11:45 a.m.
to 1 p.m. at Gleeson Plaza. The student club Pets Are Wonderful Support
(P.A.W.S) will also be on hand with puppies.
Generosity Week is sponsored
by the Student Philanthropy Committee.
