A big thank you to our exceptional volunteers: Laura Carney, Shanie Chambers, Kelly Tarry, Jasmin Cheeks, Nicki Le, Sybil Cheng and her husband Nathan Cane, Patrick Sudlow, Rachel Frazier, and everyone else who helped make the morning run smoothly. We couldn't have done it without you!
By the time the 5K racers showed up, we unfortunately ran out of shirts. But more shirts have been ordered and everyone will be taken care of. I appreciate everyone's patience.
With the 10 mile race starting at 8 a.m., the 10K at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K at 9 a.m., we all had the opportunity to cheer people on and see everyone out on the course. We were easy to spot with our bright green shirts, getting many compliments from individuals, and various organizations wondering how USF got so many people to participate.
After the race we congregated in the back of the GoUSF tent and enjoyed bagels, coffee, water and lots of fruit, catered by Bon Appetit. Once the majority of the group finished the race, we got together to take the above picture. We were fortunate to have Jerry Wittwer, who created our P10 promo video and has taken photos at other events, capture the event with lots of great pictures. Check out the awesome photos on our GoUSF Facebook page.
The race results are in. Check them here. Congratulations to everyone! See the top five USF participants in each age group here.
Those race participants who filled out the event survey were entered into a drawing to win one of ten Fitbits. Congrats to the winners:
Olivia Munoz, Grace Hum, David Carrillo, Laura Gerth, Mark Osborn, Julia Terhaar, Erine Budi, Ellen Huang, Roxanne Schmidt, and Michelle Parraga.
