Project Purpose

To develop and implement a performing arts program that includes theatre, music and dance in an inner city Catholic school that lacks the staff and financial funding to implement the program itself. This project will foster the Catholic identity of the school through the acknowledgment of its diverse student population and the opportunity for the students to express their faith through several different artistic mediums.

As a mentor for this program I am working to find viable and cost effective ways to bring the performing arts into SAIC and bring the children from this school to outside performances which will give them a greater understanding of the arts and the important role that theatre, music and dance play in the balanced structure of a society.
