Saint Ignatius Church
Dedicated in 1914, Saint Ignatius Church is one of the largest churches in San Francisco. Located on top of the hill, the twin spires and dome make it a prominent San Francisco landmark. The church is named after St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order. Although Saint Ignatius sits on USF’s campus, it is its own
Jesuit parish
. USF students begin and end their college experience in St. Ignatius with our new student convocation and our graduation ceremonies.
