Fromm Hall
Fromm Hall is a recently renovated, all-female residence hall for freshmen and sophomores. Residents on the west side of the building have a view of Golden Gate Park, San Francisco's Richmond neighborhood, and the Pacific Ocean. Fromm Hall, formerly known as Xavier Hall, was originally a residence hall for the Jesuits.
The Fromm Institute for Lifelong Learning is housed in Fromm Hall. The Fromm Institute, founded in 1976, is an education program for retired persons. The program offers daytime, noncredit, college-level courses in a wide range of academic subjects.
The XARTS Lab is also located in Fromm Hall. XARTS is a new visual arts center and includes faculty offices and studio space for the Art + Architecture Program.
